We Go Survive Am
This toolkit was built by Nigerian international students, for Nigerian international students and based on real experiences shared during a co-design workshop at the University of Greater Manchester on 29th May 2026. It covers five areas: emotional wellbeing and mental health, community and belonging, academic survival and daily life, family expectations and cultural pressure, and UK essential links and resources. The memes below were created during a meme workshop where students were asked to express their university experience through humour and cultural expression. Both the toolkit and the memes are outputs of a Harrison Award-funded research study on coping and resilience among Nigerian international students at the University of Greater Manchester. The full toolkit is free to download, share, and adapt. Pass it on to every Nigerian student you know.
